ABOUT ME
"I didn’t think I was creative—until God showed me otherwise."
For most of my life, I believed creativity was for kids or naturally gifted artists. I didn’t paint, craft, or make things, so I never thought of myself as creative. But when I was introduced to Bible journaling and writing with the Lord, it changed everything.
Writing to Him like a diary—processing my emotions, applying His Word to my life—became a healing space for me. I could look back and see where He had brought me, the prayers He answered, and the truth He spoke over me.
Then, at my first Rest Yourself Family Ministries retreat, I experienced something new: prophetic painting. Worshiping through creativity unlocked something deep inside me. Using my hands to create while sitting with the Lord was freeing, healing, and unlike anything I had known. I realized creativity wasn’t about talent—it was about connection.
Over the next two years, I let go of the belief that I wasn’t creative and began to embrace the idea that creativity is for everyone—not just artists, but everyday people like me who long for new ways to connect with God. That journey led to this book.
ABOUT
GET CREATIVE MINISTRIES
"Made to Create—Called to Connect."
What started as a simple desire to encourage people to create—despite doubt, fear, or insecurity—turned into something so much bigger. As I wrote, I realized this book wasn’t just about creativity. It was my testimony.
God had been shaping me over the last five years, healing my heart, growing my identity in Him, and leading me to break free from co-dependency, comparison, and fear. Through this, I discovered my purpose: to help others step into their own creative journey with the Lord.
That’s why I started Get Creative Ministries. It’s not just about this book—it’s about creating a space where people can:
✨ Discover creativity as worship
✨ Embrace their unique identity in Christ
✨ Find freedom in self-expression
And the best part? This is just the beginning. As God continues to lead, I’m dreaming of new ways to help people engage with Him through creativity.
Whether you consider yourself “creative” or not, you belong here. You were designed to create—let’s explore it together.
